Pietro Paolo Ferraro

Pietro Paolo Ferraro is a Full Professor of Commercial Law at the Department of Law of Pegaso Online University, where he previously served as an Associate Professor. A member of the Naples Bar Association since 1998, he is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation and other higher jurisdictions. He is also listed in the National Register of Corporate Crisis and Insolvency Managers established by the Italian Ministry of Justice.

His distinguished academic background includes serving as a Researcher in Commercial Law at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” and an Adjunct Professor at Roma Tre University. He earned his Ph.D. in Economic and Labor Relations Law from the University of Naples “Federico II.”

His professional practice seamlessly integrates his high-level academic profile with extensive experience in commercial law, placing a particular emphasis on corporate governance and commercial agreements. In this capacity, he advises leading domestic and international corporations across complex sectors such as finance, shipping, agribusiness, and the chemical-pharmaceutical industry. A central pillar of his expertise is the regulatory framework governing corporate restructuring and insolvency law. Within this field, he holds significant appointments in judicial liquidation proceedings, compositions with creditors, and debt restructuring plans. Furthermore, he serves on the Corporate Crisis Law Commission of the Naples Bar Association and is a founding member of the Italian Association of Experts in Crisis Resolution, established at Universitas Mercatorum.

His ongoing scientific and academic pursuits keep him actively engaged at the forefront of modern legal doctrine.
